One of the most important features on the Ford F-150 Raptor is its set of standard Fox Racing dampers. These high-tech shocks are capable of 13.0 inches of travel in the front and 13.9 inches at the rear, helping make the Raptor a Baja-ready monster right off the assembly line.
-The Fox Racing shocks, standard on the Raptor, use a 3.0-inch internal-bypass setup [explained here], which is designed to provide firmness at either end of travel while being softer in the middle. This allows for a stable on-road ride, along with the ability to take some serious hits at speed.
-To find out what this suspension looks like on the job, the YouTube channel TheStraightPipes mounted cameras in the front and rear wheel wells and went off-roading. As you’ll see, those shocks are hellaciously capable.
