A Boeing 737-800 passenger jet crashed as it was trying to land at the Rostov-on-Don airport in southwestern Russia early Saturday local time, according to Russian authorities.
The Russian Ministry of Transport and the Southern Regional Emergency Center confirmed the crash of the FlyDubai airliner at 3:50 a.m. local time.
Early reports indicated all passengers had died, but an official death toll has not been released.
Officials said the plane, which had traveled from Dubai, had at least 55 people aboard when it attempted to land in poor weather conditions.
