The massive pile of trash and snow that long outlasted winter at a South Boston snow farm has finally melted.
Boston Mayor Marty Walsh announced on Twitter that the pile, which at one point was five stories high, officially melted on Tuesday.

The city had invited residents to guess when this day would come back in June, and Walsh says he'll announce those winners on Wednesday. Aside from eternal glory, they'll be rewarded with a meet-and-greet with the mayor. Read more...
