Etihad Airways took delivery of its first Airbus A380-800 in Tolouse Thursday, also using the event to unveil a new livery. The Abu Dhabi-based airline has 10 A380s on order with purchase options for an additional five. The carrier’s A380s are especially of interest due to their ultra high-end Residences and Apartments cabins that were announced back in May. With the delivery of Etihad’s A380, the airline completes the triumvirate of the Gulf 3 to fly the world’s largest airliner.
Etihad will also unveil the livery on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft Saturday in Seattle, and we will have live coverage of the event. See below for additional photos of Etihad’s livery.
