Anything belonging to Ayrton Senna is hard to come by these days, but if you’re a huge Senna fan and have money growing in your garden then today is your lucky day. A Toleman TG184-2 is for sale, the one Senna drove during his rookie season and before you ask, yes it was the one he drove to second place in that legendary 1984 Monaco Grand Prix.
The price? Well you have to ask, which of course translates as “a shit ton.” But rightly so, this is F1 history right here.
This is a genuine race used fully running Ayrton Senna Toleman TG184-2 1984 F1 car and you could own it! The Toleman TG184 was designed by Rory Byrne and Pat Symonds and was used by Toleman Motorsport during most of the 1984 Formula One season.
Ayrton Senna used this car and stunned the crowd at a very wet Monaco GP where he came up from a starting position of 13th to lead the race and finish 2nd behind Alain Prost in the much more competitive McLaren MP4/2. This performance in the Toleman took the racing World by surprise and still lives on in the memory of many F1 fans as the best opening season for a rookie.
