Google is cutting the monthly cost of extra storage for Google Drive today. Users always receive 15GB for free, but they can now jump up to 100GB for $1.99, down from the previous price of $4.99. Perhaps the most appealing option is the 1TB tier, which has fallen from $49.99 each month all the way down to $9.99.
Any storage you buy for Google Drive also goes towards other Google services including Gmail and Google+ Photos. So for less than $10, you can reserve enough space to back up your entire mobile photo library and then some. Or, using Google's own example, choosing the terabyte option would allow you "to take a selfie twice a day for the next 200 years and still have room left over."
