How many A319s the Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier will ultimately take out of the 130 A319 and A321s that it has on order is still unclear. International Aero Engines (IAE) told Flightglobal in April that it would take 65 of each variant but there are indications that it may reduce the number of smaller A319s and in favour of A321s.

Airbus does not include the order in the orders and deliveries at the end of May.

American told Flightglobal earlier in June that it is still determining how many of each type to take.
