With the continued growth of image sharing websites, pilots have discovered a new platform to share their flight experiences with a global audience.In the case of Karim Nafatni, a pilot with UAE-based Air Arabia, the photos have not only attracted a massive online following, but the global media have also jumped on the appreciation bandwagon.
There’s a pretty good reason for that, of course… his photos are stunning! Luckily for me, Karim was happy to share a couple of images on TheAviationWriter.com, which you will find on this page. You can check out his website or Facebook page for more.
One of the photos – titled ‘Sunrise in the Office’ - was taken with a Nikon D300 S camera “over the middle of the Indian Ocean” on a flight from Sharjah to Trivandrum, the state capital of Kerala in India. It has attracted more than 75,000 views.
“Not a lot of people have the chance to share the views we see from the cockpit,” the French-Tunisian, who has been flying with Air Arabia for six years, told 7DAYS newspaper earlier this month.
