A week before the WWDC, Apple has already put up a bold statement, “iOS – The world’s most advanced operating system.” They must really have a lot to back that up with iOS6 since theres lots of skeptics on blogs saying things like “more like the most restricted operating system”. iOS has been well known for having a very smooth experience but it has restricted customization without jailbreaking. On the other hand, it is very easy to customize Android in any way possible.
Meanwhile, Window 7.5 Mango also brings a fluid experience even in the entry-level market. Will this mean that iOS6 will bring customization of homescreens like Android with the introduction of widgets? People suspect that this will happen since the idea of the notification bar in iOS5 was borrowed from the Android operating system.
Beyond new 3D Maps app and a UI change, what will make it the most advanced operating system? Will the advancement of the OS make it confusing for users?
