Casio G’zOne Commando brings its extreme durability to Verizon

Casio G’zOne Commando brings its extreme durability to Verizon: "

If you find yourself repeatedly ruining your cell phone, you might want to consider a more durable choice. Try the Casio G’zOne Commando, the immensely-durable phone. This phone can survive just about anything: being submerged in water, subjected to extreme heat, ran over by a train, or even blasted out of a volcano. Okay, well maybe it’s not durable enough to handle the last two, but you get the idea. It can, however, be fully submerged in water and come out working fine. Nice add-on for those who tend to jump into a swimming pool forgetting their phone is in their pocket…

Anyways, if you are wondering just how durable the phone is, Casio shared some test results showing what the phone was able to survive:

This armor-wrapped phone packs a 3.6″ display, W-Fi, Android, and then most everything else that you would expect in a smartphone. The processor, however, is unknown as the processor specs have not been released.

The phone also comes with some pre-installed apps for adventure-takers. Some of these apps include a compass, pedometer, a training app, thermometer, star map, and a few other apps of that sort.

The G’zOne Commando will be available on Verizon starting on April 28 for $200 with a contract.
